The test build is finished. The retail price will be just under $60.00. If you are interested in having one please send me an email & let me know. If there is enough interest I'll go ahead and produce kits.

I'm out of time this evening, so I'll have to make this brief: There is little left to do for the test build. Here is a shot I took for the instructions that shows the "best" way to cut the shingles as they are applied.
All for now. I'm taking tomorrow off, so see you all again Monday.

Holy guacamole!! I didn't get the hoop fasteners on, but I did make some real progress. I think that making mistakes & correcting them so you won't have to make them too counts as progress, doesn't it? Even if it doesn't, you can see things are shaping up pretty well. Not much more to do besides adding those pesky hoop fasteners, so long as you don't count putting the shingles on & attaching the spout.

Here it is, Thursday evening, and I haven't been able to make much progress. I thought I'd be able to at least get the hoop fasteners on, and add more support detail. Well, that may be why they invented Fridays.

Test cut parts arrived today. I spent a few hours looking them over and managed to do a little assembly. I hoped everything would fit perfectly the first time out. Yes, my sense of reality is overcome by wishful thinking from time to time... I found a couple of problems but no showstoppers: Too many rungs on the ladder, for instance, but that is easily fixed.

Here are the X-braced sides, ladder, basic tank, & roof assembly. Still lots more to do. I really like how the notched X-bracing worked out.

These are all the sheets of laser cut wood that will go into building this model. It will also have laser cut peel & stick shingles, NBWs (a few of which are shown in today's upper photo), tank spout & other miscellaneous parts. Stay tuned.
